Obiettivi formativi | Lo studente deve acquisire la capacità di identificare le lesioni cutanee e la corretta impostazione del percorso diagnostico. Lo studente deve essere a conoscenza della patogenesi, delle indagini diagnostiche e della terapia medica e chirurgica delle patologie cutanee di interesse odontostomatologico e dei segni cutanei delle più comuni patologie sistemiche |

Programma del corso | Cenni sulla struttura e funzioni della cute e delle mucose orali: Anatomia della cute e delle mucose orali: Caratteri macroscopici della cute (colore, superficie esterna, estensione, spessore, presenza di annessi cutanei); Caratteri microscopici della cute (epidermide, derma, membrana basale, ipoderma, annessi cutanei, cheratinocita, melanocita, cellula di Langerhans, cellula di Merkel. Funzioni della cute: funzione di barriera, funzione immunologica, funzione sudoripara, funzione sebipara, funzione di termoregolazione, funzione cheratogenica, e melanogenica, funzione di assorbimento. |

Course objectives | The student must acquire the ability to identify the skin lesions and the correct setting of the diagnostic path. The student must be aware of the pathogenesis, diagnostic investigations and medical and surgical treatment of skin diseases of odontostomatological interest and of cutaneous signs of the most common systemic diseases. |

Course Syllabus | Hints on the structure and function of the skin and oral mucosa : Structure of the skin and oral mucosa (color, surface, extension, thickness, cutaneous appendages); Histology of the skin: (epidermis, dermis, basal membrane, subcutis, cutaneous appendages, keratinocyte, melanocyte, Langerhans cell, Merkel cell). Skin functions: barrier function, immune function, sweat function, sebaceous function, thermoregulatory function, keratogenesis and melanogenesis, absorption function. Clinical semeiology: primary elementary lesions (erythema, papule, blister, pustule, hive, vesicle, nodule, plaque); Secondary elementary lesions (scale, crust, erosion, ulcer, fissure, excoriation, atrophy, scar) Hints of citology of oral cavity: cytological examination (Tzanck’s test). Cytology of herpes simplex, varicella, herpes zoster, hand-foot-mouth disease, molluscum contagiosum, leishmaniasis, pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma. Immune disorders of the skin and oral cavity: Connective tissue diseases: lupus erythematosus (LED, LECS, LES, LEN) Progressive systemic scleroderma, Raynaud phenomenon, hints of instrumental diagnostics (capillaroscopy), Morphea, Dermatomyositis,; Disorders of keratinization: Psoriasis; Bullous Diseases: Pemphigus, Bullous pemphigoid, Cicatricial pemphigoid, Dermatitis herpetiformis, Herpes gestationis; Papular dermatoses: Lichen planus; Vasculitides, Aphthous ulcers, Bechet disease. |
