    Obiettivi formativi

    Lo studente sarà guidato a comprendere come gli agenti eziologici diversi possano alterare lo stato di salute e determinare l’insorgenza di uno stato patologico.
    In particolare, l’insegnamento è finalizzato alla comprensione:
    - dei meccanismi molecolari e cellulari alla base della stimolazione cronica e acuta con agenti patogeni;
    - dei processi con i quali l’organismo risponde agli insulti al fine di ristabilire la precedente condizione di integrità o una nuova condizione di equilibrio
    Lo studente dovrà essere in grado di descrivere le alterazioni morfo-funzionali che lo stato patologico causa nei tessuti e nell’organismo.
    Poiché il Corso di Laurea in Ortottica e Assistenza Oftalmologica è compattato con il Corso di Laurea in Igiene Dentale (20 ore) e prevede 30 ore di didattica frontale saranno trattati argomenti specifici riguardanti l'area di interesse.

    Prerequisiti

    La comprensione della materia richiede conoscenze di base di Biochimica, Microbiologia e Fisiologia.

    Metodologie didattiche

    Lezioni frontali con l'ausilio di files PowerPoint; i concetti principali saranno esposti con l'ausilio di animazioni
    Prova in itinere a quiz a risposta multipla sui concetti fondamentali del corso.

    Metodi di valutazione

    La verifica finale sarà effettuata tramite esame orale. Ad ogni studente sarà rivolta una domanda sulla quale si svilupperà un dialogo con il docente, che consentirà di valutare anche la capacità espositiva e la proprietà di linguaggio dello studente.

    Altre informazioni

    Il materiale iconografico delle lezioni frontali, comprensivo di illustrazioni, sarà redatto dal docente per esteso e consegnato durante e/o dopo il corso agli studenti.

    Course objectives

    The student will be guided to understand how different etiological agents can alter the state of health and determine the onset of a pathological state.
    In particular, teaching is aimed at understanding:
    - the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the chronic and acute stimulation with pathogens;
    - of the processes with which the body responds to insults in order to restore the previous condition of integrity or a new condition of equilibrium
    The student must be able to describe the morphological and functional alterations that the pathological state causes in the tissues and in the organism.
    Since the Degree Course in Orthoptics and Ophthalmology Assistance provides 30 hours of frontal teaching but is compacted with the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene (20 hours), specific topics regarding their area of interest will be discussed.

    Prerequisites

    Understanding of the subject requires basic knowledge of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Physiology.

    Teaching methods

    Frontal lessons.
    The main concepts will be exposed with the help of animations collected in PowerPoint files.
    Try in itinere to multiple choice quizzes on the fundamental concepts of the course.

    Evaluation methods

    The final verification will be carried out by oral examination. Each student will be asked a question on which they will develop a dialogue with the teacher, which will also allow to assess the student's presentation skills and language skills.

    Other information

    The iconographic material of the lectures, including illustrations, will be written by the teacher in full and delivered during and / or after the course to the students.
