Al I anno di corso gli studenti seguiranno dei tirocini teorico-pratici con l’obiettivo di acquisire le basi etiche in metodologia clinica, chirurgica che rappresentano le premesse per lo sviluppo della successiva acquisizione delle abilità cliniche nelle discipline previste negli anni successivi del programma formativo.
Il percorso avverrà sotto la guida di tutor che attesteranno su apposito report lo svolgimento delle attività previste. La verifica del raggiungimento degli obiettivi formativi sarà ottenuta valutando sia la conoscenza degli argomenti trattati sia la capacità critica raggiunta nel corso dell’attività formativa.

Le esercitazioni prevedono la frequenza delle strutture ambulatoriali di Metodologia Clinica-chirurgica, le strutture di simulazione chirurgica al fine di imparare a conoscere l’approccio alle principali tecniche nelle varie discipline con particolare riguardo alle implicazioni etiche che le nuove tecnologie impongono nella scelta e nell'applicazioni alle principali procedure. Lo studente verrà messo in grado di eseguire un esame critico del contesto etico e verranno forniti cenni sulle principali procedure, chirurgiche e sulle più innovative tecnologie.

CONOSCENZA E CAPACITÀ DI COMPRENSIONE
Lo studente acquisisce conoscenze di base dei principi etici e metodologici della chirurgia, con particolare riferimento all’approccio al paziente chirurgico, ai criteri diagnostici e classificativi e ai fondamenti della pratica tecnico-chirurgica.
CAPACITÀ DI APPLICARE CONOSCENZA E COMPRENSIONE
Lo studente è in grado di applicare le conoscenze acquisite nell’analisi guidata di casi clinico-etici e nell’osservazione delle attività chirurgiche, comprendendo le principali fasi del percorso diagnostico-terapeutico e le implicazioni metodologiche ed etiche delle scelte cliniche.
AUTONOMIA DI GIUDIZIO
Lo studente sviluppa capacità di riflessione critica sui principali aspetti etici della pratica chirurgica, valutando le problematiche connesse al processo decisionale e riconoscendo il ruolo dei principi etici nella gestione del paziente.

Lo studente è in grado di partecipare alla discussione di casi clinico-etici simulati, esprimendo le proprie valutazioni in modo chiaro e utilizzando una terminologia appropriata in ambito medico-chirurgico.

Lo studente sviluppa capacità di apprendimento attraverso l’osservazione diretta e la simulazione in contesti clinici e formativi, integrando conoscenze teoriche ed elementi pratici dell’attività chirurgica

L'esame orale riguarda i principali aspetti etici-teorici delle più frequenti patologie trattate. Lo studente dovrebbe essere in grado di discutere sull'argomento ed essere in grado di connettere e di analizzare le diverse sue componenti. Lo studente deve avere conoscenza delle implicazioni etiche nelle varie patologie. Al fine di testare l'acquisizione di questa capacità allo studente verrà chiesto di risolvere un semplice problema etico orientato. Il giudizio finale è espresso in “idoneo” o “non idoneo” ed è stabilito durante la prova orale.

Etica in Metodologia chirurgica
L’esercitazione mirerà all’acquisizione dei fondamenti etici relativi all’ approccio al paziente chirurgico mediante comprensione delle principali criticità relative all'utilizzo di criteri diagnostici, classificativi e soprattutto relativamente alla metodologia tecnico-chirurgica.
Gli studenti verranno inoltre coinvolti nella discussione di casi clinici-etici simulati. Le attività verranno svolte in reparto, ambulatorio e/o strutture formative avanzate mediante l’osservazione e la simulazione di interventi chirurgici.

In the first year of the course, students will follow theoretical-practical internships with the aim of acquiring the ethical foundations in clinical and surgical methodology which represent the premises for the development of the subsequent acquisition of clinical skills in the disciplines envisaged in the subsequent years of the training programme.
The course will take place under the guidance of tutors who will certify the carrying out of the planned activities on a specific report. Verification of the achievement of the training objectives will be obtained by evaluating both the knowledge of the topics covered and the critical ability achieved during the training activity.

The exercises include attendance at clinical-surgical methodology clinics, surgical simulation facilities in order to learn the approach to the main techniques in the various disciplines with particular regard to the ethical implications that new technologies impose on the choice and applications to the main surgical procedures. The student will be able to carry out a critical examination of the ethical context and will be provided with information on the main surgical procedures and the most innovative technologies.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The student acquires basic knowledge of the ethical and methodological principles of surgery, with particular reference to the approach to the surgical patient, diagnostic and classification criteria, and the fundamentals of surgical practice.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
The student is able to apply the acquired knowledge in the guided analysis of clinical-ethical cases and in the observation of surgical activities, understanding the main steps of the diagnostic and therapeutic process and the ethical and methodological implications of clinical decisions.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS
The student develops critical thinking skills regarding the main ethical aspects of surgical practice, evaluating issues related to decision-making processes and recognizing the role of ethical principles in patient management.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The student is able to participate in discussions of simulated clinical-ethical cases, clearly expressing their evaluations and using appropriate medical-surgical terminology.
LEARNING SKILLS
The student develops learning skills through direct observation and simulation in clinical and educational settings, integrating theoretical knowledge with basic elements of surgical practice

The oral exam concerns the main ethical-theoretical aspects of the most frequent pathologies treated. The student should be able to discuss the topic and be able to connect and analyze its different components. The student must have knowledge of the ethical implications in various pathologies. In order to test the acquisition of this ability the student will be asked to solve a simple ethical problem. The final judgment is expressed as "suitable" or "unsuitable" and is established during the oral test.

Ethics in Surgical Methodology
The exercise will aim to acquire the ethical foundations relating to the approach to the surgical patient by understanding the main critical issues relating to the use of diagnostic and classification criteria and above all in relation to the technical-surgical methodology.
Students will also be involved in the discussion of simulated clinical-ethical cases. The activities will be carried out in the department, clinic and/or advanced training facilities through the observation and simulation of surgical operations.
